I do not think Blue Jays go SS in 1st round, they just signed Cuban SS Adeiny Hechavarria to 4 yrs $10 million contract. Their GM called him a “core piece”

Having seen Karsten Whitson pitch twice now, I can say that he has more than just a 96 mph first round fastball. He has a devistating slider and a decent change-up. Also, the fastball has good movement. Although, he lost both games I saw, I would attribute both losses to his lack of offensive support. Chipley was no-hit in one of the games and 2 hit in the other. Don’t forget, he goes to Chipley H.S. Have you ever heard of it?

Nice work. I really enjoy the write ups. Makes me wonder how you guys do it what with prospects galore scattered all around the country. I wanted to chime in on Josh Sale who did his winter work outs at the same place as my son (class of 2016). Great kid, absolute work horse, good quicks (not just for his size which is “thick”) and good sustained speed. And as you mentioned, he will hit and hit and hit.

Would be curious where another neighborhood kid, Ryan Brett falls to in your draft? Same area code teams as Sale, all-league, all state, Rawlings all american etc.

Very interesting draft, but I was curious about two omissions of players who seem to get top-ten hype in other places – Anthony Ranaudo and LeVon Washington. Thanks – I look forward to future mock iterations

He really wants to pitch in the SEC, but it depends on what happens this Spring, and in June in particular.
