Nice. Personally I think Lindblom is one of the top three right handed starting pitcher prospects from the 2008 draft (not including Crow and Scheppers), and has to be included in a comparison since he is definitely a starting pitching prospect. I would agree that he slots in behind Scheppers and Leake in an overall ranking but, just barely.

What's really tough for the '08 class is the fact that Scheppers and Crow will end up in the 09 class. Shooter Hunt is really good but, certainly slots behind the top tier of '09 prospects.

Also, it should be noted that the two top college starters drafted and signed as part of the '08 class were lefties (Matusz and Friedrich). While, although Paxton and Minor are potentially first rounders - as you made clear in your tiers article - they are far behind the top college righties.

Finally, college starters, and all pitchers really, are the '09 class' strength. While the '08 draft was all about college hitting. Potentially seven of the first ten picks, and eight of the first eleven or so this year will be pitchers, while only two pitchers (Matusz and Crow) were taken in the top ten, Crow wasn't signed, and a pitcher wasn't taken again till pick 15 with Ethan Martin, a prep prospect (this may be off, I'm not looking up the 2008 first round to check that).

Anyways, good read, keep up the good stuff.
